Call out Republicans taking credit for the Rescue Plan they opposed!

The American Rescue Plan Act, a 1.9 trillion dollar COVID-19 recovery investment, was vehemently opposed by Republicans — despite bringing back millions of dollars in aid to their home states. Of course, it only took the positive effects of the plan for GOP members to acknowledge the benefit — and even taking credit.

Not only do they deserve zero credit, their acknowledgement serves as a reminder, that had Republicans been in charge, there would be no Recovery Plan!

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has gone back to his home state of Kentucky touting the funding that would come from the relief package into the state. That the leading opponent of the package now touts its benefits makes perfectly clear that Republicans have no interest in helping the American people — and they deserve no credit when Democrats get the job done.
