Trump claims FBI offered bounty to “FRAME” him
The disgraced ex-president embarked on yet another random-caps, grievance-filled rant, claiming the FBI offered $1 million dollars to “FRAME” him. This is based on a recent report that the FBI did offer to pay a former intelligence official for proof of any criminal activity by the Trump campaign. And if there’s one thing we all know, it’s that demanding proof of wrongdoing is the same as “framing” someone. Obviously. [RETWEET THAT!]

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Jim Jordan humiliates himself on live TV
US Rep. and very serious man with hands on hips Jim Jordan is vowing that Republicans will investigate — checks notes, yep — Hillary Clinton. Why not.
Winning one open Arizona seat is key to taking back the House
Yassamin Ansari for Congress: Winning in Arizona means we get our majority back — and losing means that some of the most unhinged election-denying, democracy-hating Trumpers in the country will be headed to Washington. Yassmin Ansari is a fantastic candidate running for Congress in a crucial Arizona seat to make sure we deliver President Biden a new majority for his second term! Can you chip in to help keep Trump’s most radical minions out of office?
Joe Biden urges Republicans to compromise as debt ceiling talks resume
President Biden is set to meet with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy today for continued talks on lifting the US debt ceiling. Republicans have been holding the American and global economies hostage with calls for extreme investment cuts the president described as “simply, quite frankly, unacceptable.” We’ve said it before, but it bears repeating — Congress has lifted the US debt ceiling more than 90 times to avert default, including three times under President Trump 👏 with 👏 no 👏 conditions. Enough already.

GOP senator dumps on Trump, says the disgraced ex-president can’t win in 2024
Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana flatly stated, “I don’t think Trump can win a general election” when pressed to respond to Ron DeSantis’ claim that only three “credible” candidates are in play in 2024 — Biden, Trump, and (surprise!) DeSantis himself. Rest easy, folks. A thumb-smashed Truth Social screed personally attacking Cassidy (and probably his wife and kids and — why not — pets) will surely arrive any moment.

Tommy Tuberville draws fire for holding hundreds of military promotions hostage over abortion
Democratic Sen. and decorated Army veteran Tammy Duckworth sharply criticized her Senate colleague from Alabama for his continued blockade of nearly 200 military nominations, excoriating the former football coach for “holding the entire nation’s national security hostage.” Tommy’s beef? A Pentagon policy that provides travel reimbursements and leave for service members to seek abortions out-of-state. What happened to supporting the troops, Tubbs?

Jeffrey Epstein tried to blackmail Bill Gates over extramarital affair
The one-time, high-rolling financier and notorious sex trafficker allegedly tried — and failed — to cajole the billionaire Microsoft founder into maintaining their relationship with thinly-veiled extortion threats related to Gates’ past affair with a Russian bridge player. Gates first met Epstein in 2011 and has maintained the purpose of their repeated meetings was to raise money for global health, which is precisely the kind of thing an impossibly rich and powerful businessman might say in a situation this downright shady.

Anaheim Mayor Ashleigh Aitken announced over the weekend that she had invited the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to the June 17 event after they were unceremoniously dumped from the Dodgers’ annual LGBTQ+ Pride Night.

Today’s Action: Tell Congress not to give an inch to Kevin McCarthy’s debt ceiling demands!
With the United States rapidly approaching the current federal debt ceiling, Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has made it clear that he plans to hold the entire economy hostage unless the Biden administration agrees to catastrophic budget cuts to America’s social safety net.
The Biden White House is reportedly considering a two-year cap on further investments — which, simply put, would be disastrous. 60,000 people would not be able to attend college; 200,000 children would get kicked out of Head Start; 100,000 families would lose critical childcare; 1.2 million people would be removed from WIC nutrition assistance; and 430,000 would be evicted from Section 8 housing. But that’s only if McCarthy gets his way and Congress capitulates.
There are other options available that don’t involve giving into McCarthy and legitimizing his preposterous demands. We need to stand strong against Republican tyranny and make them pay the price for refusing to do their jobs and fund the US government.
Kevin McCarthy doesn’t care about government spending when it comes to cutting taxes for the ultra-wealthy or writing endless blank checks to the military, but he sure seems keen on stripping critical resources from ordinary Americans.
Call (202.224.3121) or email your representatives and tell them to protect Americans from McCarthy’s destructive budget plan!
